A gasket plate heat exchanger consists of a frame, which consists of a front frame, rear (movable) frame, carrying bar, guiding bar, and a number of tie bolts depending on the type of the plate heat exchanger. In between front and rear frame, a number of plates that are pressed together sealed by a rubber gasket. The plate pack is placed between the two frames, it is tightened to a minimum distance which allows the plate heat exchanger to be operated under certain pressures.

The heat is transferred from one medium to another one through the plates. The hot and cold medium flows between each of the plates and then they exchange their heat without mixing each other.

Ideal for heavy duty applications, long coupled pumps feature a separate pump shaft and motor shaft, connected by a spacer coupling. Because this variety of pump has two separate bearings, each bearing takes some of the operational strain, which gives the pump a longer lifespan overall. Grundfos end suction long coupled pumps allow the liquid to run directly into the impeller and inlet or outlet via a 90-degree angle, and are easy to service without dismantling the pump.

Inline pumps are designed for vertical installation. They are often known as ‘straight line pumps’, as they discharge fluid in a straight line of piping, to ensure the fluid flow does not change during operations. Grundfos inline pumps are close-coupled to help them pump liquid with impurities, and are equipped with standard motors and mechanical shaft seals. Inline pumps are suitable for boilers, air conditioning systems and thermal power stations.
